INHERITOR COMBINES HARD HITTING METAL WITH INTENSE LYRICAL MEANING - DEVOLUTION MAGAZINE

INHERITOR are a young, modern metal band hailing from West Yorkshire. Boasting a vicious onstage reputation paired with a sound that spans and draws influence from the whole gamut of heavy and alternative music, creating a bespoke style that includes melody, heaviness, and experimentation. Incorporating elements of extreme metal alongside the singalong and melodic qualities found in post-hardcore and metalcore. With unstoppable energy, they have become a true spectacle at their live shows, playing venues all across the UK and their local Leeds scene and having supported the likes of Graphic Nature, Osiah, Tortured Demon, Defects and Waterlines.

After a successful run of early singles, 2023 saw them release their debut EP - CHAOS SERMONS. With this, the band contrasts and compliments a thick sonic attack alongside mature songwriting with an added emphasis on memorable melodies being balanced with visceral rage. There is something for any alternative and heavy music fan to be found in this writhing and memorable statement from the young band. A second EP, This Bleak Bliss: The Collection, also followed shortly after showcasing their musical versatility and love for creative growth.

INHERITOR has received radio and media attention, namely for their single 13 Feet Beneath, and have amassed respectable streaming numbers for an independent metal group due to their tenacity in striving to be heard.

In 2025 and beyond, INHERITOR aims to consistently release new music and attack the UK live circuit with full force.

DISCOGRAPHY

CHAOS SERMONS is the debut EP from INHERITOR, released 16th June 2023 as their most complete work to date. This collection of songs features some previous singles reinstated alongside brand new music, creating an EP that delivers every facet INHERITOR are known for whilst injecting some fresh creativity.

The EP combines, contrasts and compliments percussive attacks with mature songwriting and an emphasis on melody balanced with a visceral rage. There is something for any alternative and heavy music fan to be found in this writhing and memorable statement from the young band. They have released videos for Death Spiral and 13 Feet Beneath.

INHERITOR released a second EP on 29th September containing new renditions and versions of their single This Bleak Bliss. This effort shows the band's versatile nature and love for growth and experimentation. Nurturing their melodic sensibility as well as the hard hitting abrasive sound they are known for. The release contains piano, acoustic and orchestral versions of the original composition.

ADDITIONAL EXPOSURE

In 2024, INHERITOR played Southwest Heavyfest and subsequently, were featured in a short documentary film on the festival. They provided both interview and live footage for this film as well as their songs being featured for the intro and credit scenes.

INHERITOR have had both a video interview and corresponding written piece featured on the prestigious Devolution Magazine site as well as live coverage of two performances.
